The United States is the #1 importer in and the #2 exporter in the world’s economy, with China just ahead. Though impressive, the current lack of export could be improved. The Stripes Party believes it is essential that the free market remains a benefit to the American people rather than a weakness. With companies building factories overseas, American jobs are becoming less American based; unemployment is a continuous issue in our country. To be resolved, we must expand the exporting threshold. By opening up factories with in American borders we can not only eventually produce more than buy (causing our gdp to rise), but also lower unemployment even further. With that, regulations must be implemented and maintained, if not improved, by the federal government such as security and financial checks. This would require a budget that is currently in the process of being determined. That being said, with the growth in export, the money may trickle in to country’s economy, dropping the poverty line and lowering taxes. The money may also encourage a larger budget for other issues such as education and environmental/reusable energy escapades. In other words, both our international economy and national society could thrive.
